    Natasha Borzilova with her D-55

Russian born Folk Artist, Natasha Borzilova, lives and tours in the U.S. This is one of her songs - Beautiful! Her D-55 seems to be her go to guitar. I must say, the young lady has very good taste along with a lot of talent.

That video led me to check out her band, Bering Strait. Really good. Kind of a Russian take on bluegrass, including a pedal steel guitar and a squareneck dobro.

The young lady has just a beautiful, haunting voice IMHO.
-A whole lotta Guilds, mostly acoustic but a few nice electric pieces as well

-Not nearly so many Martins, Gibsons and Taylors

Agreed. I hear a definite Alison Krauss flavor, and it doesn't get much better than that. And that D55 sounds just fine too.

You just mention Alison Krauss and I turn into a puddle. That woman could sing the phone book and I would listen.

I'm with you, tx. Alison can have me anytime she wants....just keep singing to me. A distinctive voice, to be sure.

I'm Sorry for your loss Richard. In the advice taken from a Barbara Mandrell song, "She can eat crackers in my bed anytime!".
