Pilot headstock finish peeling

Hi All- I posted this over in the Tech Shop as well, please delete if the duplicate isn't cool.

I just added a Pilot bass to the lineup, and it has the peeling headstock finish that I've seen on quite a few others. I don't really want to loose the Guild logo off of the thing, and would like to stop this peeling. Are there things others have done to help this?

My initial thought was to try to carefully drop some superglue behind the flake, but have some hesitations about this.

Ideas? Solutions others have used?
