I have ended up with 5 amps of various types, but the big 2 X 10 Randall amp from the late 70s being the most "vintage". Are their unknown gems in the Guild amp line ? What's the basics of the Thunderbird ? I see those most often in auction and sales.

There are a lot of gems in the Guild amp pantheon. The 50s-early 60s models are geared more toward the Jazz side of the spectrum, while the mid-late 60s models start hitting a rock vein. I've not been disappointed by mine.

Nice gallery of stuff there ! Some of them QUITE large amps, by looks. I was just hoping for more short reviews about the good ones that might be worth getting hold of. I guess I would be most interested in the lower watt ranges for practice or small stage settings.

I like your style JohnW63....a man of action....a "decider" so to speak.....

Slippery slope indeed!

I'll be interested to see where this goes.....as for the '60's....for the moment I'm happily taking a pause on "Princeton Reverb Island" but always curious.
