That was crazy! I can't believe the people who were there! Was Petty's Guild (D25-12?) just gloss black all over?

It is actually an early '80's D-212, with a sitka top stained mahogany. The model got the new designation of D-25-12 in 86 or so.

Thanks, Neal. A lot of very young superstars! Amidst a very chaotic practice, Petty seemed very together. Pity that the vocals were so far down in the mix.

I have the dvd of the concert. They did it smoother when the time came, of course. A lot of guitar heros on that stage.

I loved it that they had Johnny Winter (RIP) doing Highway 61 revisited.

Oddly enough, the band that steals the concert is the OJs. The version of "Emotionally Yours" they do at this concert is beyond killer. I don't even like their kind of music, and I was blown away.
