I'm now in possession of a '69 Thunderstar thanks to sfIII. You may have seen the link in the 'Bay section. The guy in Pittsburgh wouldn't ship, despite my offer of $350 off eBay. He kept on listing it. In the meantime, sfIII contacted me saying he travelled between his home, Pittsburgh, and Huntington, WV (45 min. from me.) He was gracious enough to bid on it when he would next be up there, and brought it down in his travels. The total — $220. Thanks, Howard!

Its sound great, but a little noisy with the reverb; I'll have to go through it.

As you can see, the first thing I did after picking it up from Howard was to drive across to Home Depot for some casters.

Unfortunately, a previous owner (heretofore to be known as The Idiot) scratched some level marks on the faceplate. Treble all the way down, bass all the way up. The Idiot!

Amazing how someone could be so stuck on particular amp settings as to scratch 'em into metal! Masking tape apparently not permanent enough…

Ah, the elusive "perfect" amp setting! Let me write this down...

Seriously, a great amp! And the footswitch, too - nice!
