Curious about a Guild at Guitar Center

Looks like the Westerly Collection will be coming to Guitar Center in January, online at least. But in looking through their used Guild's, I ran across an F212 that as been dropped $300 to $699, I think it was - throwing that in just in case anyone is interested.

I saw this one, and I've seen it before. Why are there stripes on the top? Is it spruce or some other wood? Personally I think it's pretty, but is that a flaw or a desired variation?

It's spruce. Just has some natural stripe to the wood. It's perfectly bookmatched so it's a natural phenomenon. Sometimes those individual characteristics become more prominent with age and exposure. Nice golden aged tone to the lacquer. So I'd say it's just natural striations in the Sitka spruce on that one.

So not a flaw. I like the color variations. I'm not in the market to buy right now, but I do like to window shop.
