Hey folks. Don't know if it's allowed to post a WTB for a brand other than Guild but if it is, there is a specific Gibson I'd really like to own. I've had two of them in the past and sold them to pay for various dog surgeries and vet costs. Anyway, if anyone knows, please let me know.

Thanks all,

Richard

I have no authority but I say that's ok. Someone else was looking for a Clapton strat here recently...

of course both you and he contribute tons to this forum, so there should be no question in those cases.

which Gibber?

Only 3 verboten topics in this board and Gibson's not one of 'em.
Politics, lust, and religion are though, so try not to mix up your secret lust for a certain Gibson model with connections to moral judgements about why Gibson's wood was seized by over-inflamed Customs and law enforcement officers.

I did sell a Gibby last week, however it was a 335, so I couldn't have helped you here.

Where is the icon to conclude a gratuitous and unhelpful comment?

Hey waitaminnit!!!
Didn't you sell a gold-top Bluesbird to finance that purchase?
What to do you have to say for yourself now?

Nope. I had it all.... B-bird, 335, fame, fortu... well let's say b-bird and 335, and I sold them both for mainly two reasons, one of which is that I never was able to really bond with the 335, the other one would cause me to get stoned to death by the membership so it will remain a mystery.

Wait. Lust is forbidden?

Might want to just close the Ebay and FS sections. ;)

Wait. Lust is forbidden?
Y'know that's a good point.
Let's say objectifying humans in lustful ways is verboten.
Might want to just close the Ebay and FS sections. ;)
NOW let's discuss why objectifying guitars or inanimate objects is any less objectionable than objectifying human beings..
THAT ought keep the pot stirred for a while.

Um....Tom, a teapot just seem to be an effective enough emotie to be called a dorshki. :biggrin-new:
Especially if you take into account this connection:

Full lyrics here:

Warning! Contains subversive, mind-altering and sexual content.
Don't say I didn't tempt ya.
BTW Gong's bonfides:
Before there was Pascal in Purple Tights there was Gong.
Founder and guitarist Daevid Allen was a co-founder of Soft Machine, and flautist/sax player Didier Malherbe is still active and recently made a duet album with Pierre Bensusan.

Ahhhhhhhhh Al.....
Thanks for the flashback. Love it! The Steve Hillage era...
I still have his first 3 solo albums.
Terry: if you want to get right to the "good stuff", go to cut 5,"Zero the Hero and the Witch's Spell" and play through 6 "Witch's Song".
Actually this is the least favorite of my Gong albums.
The next 2 (Angel's Egg, You) are much better and Hillage is hitting his peak with them.
Some of his best stuff is found on his solo album "L", including a cover of "It's All Too Much":

Hey, cool coincidence - I happened to listen to the bootleg extended version of the Beatles "It's All Too Much" on the way home today! That's a great version by Hillage, although most his stuff is over my head (literally!).
