D40 Tuners - Original?

I will be looking at a local D40 in a couple of days. I have a few photos on this 1967 (Hoboken) and wonder about the tuners on it. I've never seen some like this. Can anyone tell me if they are originals?

See the pic Hans Moust posted in post 5 of this thread... they show a style of tuners found in a 67 D-40 (note... look at Hans pic, not the one I posted, which would be correct for some early '70s D-40s).

Thanks - yes, they look like the photo Hans posted. I guess they are probably originals. I will see how they work when I get to look over the guitar.

My D-40 came with the same ones. Original, and terrible! Worst tuners I've ever encountered on a Guild and that includes some the three-on-a-plank open gear tuners some of the lower-end models came with.
