Someone has probably already mentioned this and I just missed it, but I just read that Guild is a couple months out from production in their new Oxnard Factory.

For some reason, I thought USA built guilds were a thing of the past. Anyone know which models they will be offering out of this factory?

Thanks,
Aaron

The search function at LTG is not THAT bad. Short version. Cordoba announced there would be US production when they bought Guild so your thought that US production was not coming back has been wrong fro quite some time. The plant is waiting for permits from California to operate. Latest rumors are that there is one piece of equipment that draws too much power and Cordoba is working on addressing that. Production will start "Real Soon Now". They have not announced what they intend to produce and in what order. The first instruments will be M-20's but beyond that it is speculation. Cordoba has indicated that they are considering making anything that New Hartford did, the D-25 will probably return, the Americian Partiarch line of electrics will continue, perhaps augmented by other hollow body electrics, and there will be some kind of Custom Order/Shop capability. But I have described the Five Year Plan as I am guessing and there are no details concerning what will happen when.

I was in a store that was a Guild dealer and asked the acoustic guitar manager when the new MIA Guilds were coming. He said he had an appointment with the Guild rep toward the end of the month and that they were taking orders. He then showed me the price list that showed M 20, D 20, D 40, D 50, D 55, and I believe the F 512 or 312. That would be a pretty ambitious start, I'd say.

Sure they have had! At NAMM in January! Just the month are wrong now...

And on August 7 Guild in Oxnard posted on Facebook: "Happy Factory Friday, everyone! We’ve been busy getting all of the machines up and running at the Guild factory--things are starting to hum in anticipation of future guitar making!" and those two pictures:

The D40 is new. There was no mention of plans in the initial blurb.

One of the nice things about the LTG community is that I can make statements that are marginally incorrect and typos and people will just correct me or laugh at me or with me and not rip me a new one. Thanks for the clarifications and corrections and I'll try not to get it wrong again :)

Hey, whenever my memory is working from a thirty second flash on a computer screen, I reserve the right to be wrong.

Guild is going to be fighting an uphill battle here. The manager I talked to indicated the owner was luke warm on carrying Guild again. They have Martin, Taylor, and Gibson. Do they need another brand? This has been a problem with Guild for decades. Once something is gone, you realize you can do without it.

This is why the product has to be good from the start, and priced to be extremly competitive, which apparently it will be.

Right. So if the NAMM advertising is still correct we would see out of Oxnard:
Step 1: M-20 and D-20 (ex D-25) (probably all we can expect in 2015...)
Step 2: (3 month after Step 1) D-55, F-55M (ex F-50), F-55 (ex F-50R), F-512M (ex F-412), F-512
Step 3: (3 month after Step 2) D-40, D-50
Lets wait and see!

It is a great lineup. Covers all the bases. Would be cool if they had a catalogue to download to tide us over.

The only catalog I have seen is the one they released at NAMM that had the pamphlet inside that the photo on this thread is from. The catalog for 2015 is basically a rehash of the 2014 lineup. All the Traditonals are in it, D40, D50 Bluegrass, Custom shop Orpheums, etc... Basically everything they offered from New Hartford at the time it closed down.

The difference to 2014 is that 2015 shows also the new models like the Westerly Collection, the T-50 Slim (page 16), the Chris Hillman Signature Byrds Bass (page 17), the new model names of the Traditional Line like the F-55, F-55 Maple (page 34) and F-512, F-512 Maple (page 35) (well using NH guitars for the pictures).
It doesn't show the totally new future models like M-20 and D-20 yet, I guess that is what the little extra flyer was for that you had photographed.

Here is the 2015 catalog minus the little flyer: http://issuu.com/guildguitars/docs/2015_guild_catalog_v052015_v2

I think they will doing OK in Oxnard in the hands of Cordoba.Prices for their high-end like the D-55 is $2,799 is way better than Gibson Songwriter ($2,899) or Martin D-28 ($2,599) considering money//quality.If I am in the market for a new guitar.I would definitely give a serious look at the D-55.

Thanks Ralph. The F55 Maple with the burst looks amazing. My other fave is the Orpheum OM. Could be that these models might be in production by Jan 2017. The F55 I am sure sooner, but what a great lineup assuming they can put it all together.
