See also.

I think the question about Hamer is a red herring, in that I don't think Drum Works acquired any rights to Hamer and the folks who have such rights have shown no interest in restarting production in New Hartford. But that opinion is based on me picking and choosing from the uninformed opinions of others.

The email quoted in the AGF thread confrims what we have heard from several other sources - that only the Guild production equipment was sold and moved and the factory still houses the production line for Ovation and could be restarted, with some effort.

Did they move that monster, multi-axis neck cutter to Oxnard? I believe that was an Ovation inheritance that might be hard to live without.

You are right. DW shows only following brands that they aqcuired from FMIC/KMC: Latin Percussion®, Toca® Percussion, Gretsch® Drums, Gibraltar® Hardware and KAT® Percussion. Ovation® Guitars, and exclusive U.S. distribution rights for Sabian® Cymbals are also included in the transaction: http://www.dwdrums.com/info/newsroom.asp?n=nwsDWbuysBrandsFromFender
And under Ovation they acquired the rights for Adamas, Applause and Ovation: http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=382857
But no mention of Hamer.
Since KMC subsequently was sold by FMIC to JAM Group and Hamer®, Monaco® and Slammer® were still registered trademarks of KMC Music, Inc., they might now also belong to JAM Group. http://www.jamindustries.com/markets/musical-instruments/kmc-music But it's nowhere to be found, so there is also a possibility FMIC kept those 3 unused names in their portfolio.
