My favorite is the bandana. Just what you need to ward off the dusty wind in the studio. Also good for robbing trains.

John was a special song writer, I was fortunate enough to open for him (and Glenn Yarbrough) at Chuck's Cellar in Los Altos.
He told a great story before doing Wingless Angel/Survivors and hearing someone, in the studio with the engineer, singing a high harmony; he said he almost stopped singing before he realized it was John Denver. Regaled us with great tales about Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham over late night breakfasts. Good memories, thanks for posting.
