Yes, those serious pauses & then getting back into are classic! The man has the moves.
I thought the song sounded a bit like some old Jackson 5 bugglegum soul. I quite liked it on first listen & was surprised it was a Taylor Swift tune (not really up on her). I was looking to see if any different cover versions were done & came across a band using a Starfire IV! Maybe an NS:
