So we have this local auction company that has a weekly auction online. They'll sell anything anyone brings & over the years I've purchased everything from furnaces & water heaters, tools, antiques, to the occasional musical gear. Usually it's First Act type stuff, but some may remember my '60 Martin T-112 score, from this very place.

So this week, there were a few more music items & I ended up bringing home a "Road 2-12 Lead" solid state guitar amp. The history of the company looks like it was started by Bud Ross after he sold off Kustom. It changed hands once or twice, but there's very little info out there. This one has Griffin Music Inc, L.A California stamped on the back.

I'll probably open it up as I'm cleaning it up today to see what's in it & give the pots a shot of cleaner/lube. Everything seems to work properly & it has a pretty decent crisp, somewhat punchy sound. Anyone have any familiarity with these?
