Guild Starfire 4 finish

Hello,
I recently purchased the guild starfire 4 & love it. I pretty much straight away sanded back the neck as it felt to clinical. Has anyone sanded back the whole body & refinished it with a more satin feel?

I've had scores of guitars and never felt the need to sand the neck, and I've had some really sticky Les Pauls. I just adapt, I guess.

Doesn't mean your way is wrong. If it feels good, do it!
