I was inspired to buy this Guitar after seeing Derek Lind in concert. I've owned my D70 since 1989, I used to go and see it periodically over a number of years.Yes years,it sat in my favourite music shop for well over 3 years that I know of.
It was made in Nov 1982.It has a blue export label.
I purchased it in 1989 new, it had sat there for a long time.I waved a wod of cash in front of them and they accepted my offer.I walked out of Greenlane Music Shop on cloud nine. The start of our relationship.
The Build quality 10

Bass Yep 10
Mids Ah yep 10
Highs Why yes also 10
Sustain How long can you wait ? yep 10

dependability Yes this is a rock, like a labrador it's always there

Projection Mate ,this guitar has lungs definite 11
Would I buy another if lost I'd be pretty upset,.....I mean really upset hmmmm but Yes

Overall Assessment 11
Most appreciated Characteristic Hmmm It's more that a great guitar, it's become a great friend
Least appreciated Probably the guitar case, it's like a Hiscox flight case, seems the plastic reacts with the foam after 20 something years and degrades a bit.

Favourite D70moment Probably when a mate borrowed my guitar and ended up playing a rewritten version of "turning 30" for me at my 30th birthday

Other observations The D70 has jumbo fret, a was wondering if any other Dreadnoughts has jumbos as well.
