Congratulations buddy! Is that one solid or chambered? I'll have to admit I'm not real big on the 11 pound LPs, but I'm not a 'leccie guy anyways.

PS, watch for crash cymbals around those tender volutes! My luthier had a pair of Gibsons at his place (an LP and an SG) with headstock breaks. :chargrined:

Thanks Sandy. It is chambered and weight around 9 pounds (not that 2 or even more extra pounds would have deterred me).
I waited 40 years to pull the trigger on one, and this one has everything I wanted.
It's gorgeous, feels great and sounds huge.
It stays. Definitely. :)

Sure is pretty. Loves me some tobacco burst and quilty maple!

Edit: does the TRC say "standard"? That's a mighty fancy top for a standard.

Yes it is the Standard Sandy, which according to Gibson specs comes with AAA maple top (except for black, gold top and Blue finishes):

These BB pup's with the push pulls are absolute killers. All you need to sound like a rock star! lol

That is beautiful. Wow.

Thanks Watasha, like Sandy, this dark tobacco burst (called "desert burst" by Gibson?) is my favorite finish.
Over a quilted or flamed maple, it just can't be beat IMO.

Don't know what I can say, Pascal. You have been provoking us for a while and we will not longer tolerate it. Hopefully, you won't be crying out loud for help. I'm getting closer every day... :anonymous:

Anyways, I guess I have to say congrats on the new baby! :excitement:

On the other hand, you could put that thing to good use, playing something like this (disregard the misspelling):

Enjoy it, my friend! :congratulatory:

All the best,
B.

Oh no worries.... this one has all my attention right now. ;)

It actually get so much of my attention (I was literally discovering it as I was playing this) that I forgot about the beat for a moment! lol
But the smile at 27 seconds tells you how it made me feel on first impression....

Thanks buddy!

Got an ETA?

All going well, this Saturday for the OM. I'm going to make a run at what hopefully is the prototype Jumbo that's in Scottsdale right now. That one will take another week or so.

I've got an email in to our guy in Scottsdale. Hopefully it will be this same guitar.

Certainly Dave, especially when they're made by fellow members. That's a thinline Fixitcaster, right?
