not a lot on GV52s. sounds like they are very simply put, the Jumbo body version of the DV52. scalloped bracing, solid rosewood and spruce, ebony, etc. is that correct? there's one in a local shop for about $450. a bit of a beater condition-wise, but feels and sounds very much like the DV52 I had. only made in '94 i believe

Sounds like a great price if it's playable & sounds good, aesthetics are something else again.

Yes, except that it is not a "full jumbo" but a "small jumbo" (16"). The GV52 was satin finished, Solid spruce top, scalloped bracing, herringbone rosette (as the DV-52 in 1994), solid rosewood back and sides. Dot inlay on ebony fingerboard. Bone nut and saddle, Gold hardware. Same price as DV52 in 1994 pricelist. ($1199). There was also a limited GV70 in 1994 with high gloss finish and all abalone inlays. (The GV70 was $1799)

i'm tempted. i thought i was done except for maybe a pre '73 D44, but this one sounds great, no neck or bridge issues, and i like the the body style.

fretless, get some pics? And if you pass on it, can I call dibs (depending on condition)? Been waiting to complete my 'V52 collection. I have the DV52, the JV52 (which is the jumbo version of the DV52), and if I can swing the GV52 for under $500... well shoot.
