my D 50 doesn't have a 3rd fret dot...some D50's do, some don't.

why?

did the dot guy have to leave early the day mine was made and thought i wouldn't notice (which i didn't)??

should I have gotten a discount for not having the extra dot?

when they did their yearly inventory for the accountants didn't they notice they had 47 dots in inventory, when they should have only had 46?

i'd like to do a poll of how many of our guilds have 3rd fret dots.... 1/1 means 1 guild/1 w/dots....add to the tally at the bottom:

me: 1/0

total tally: 1/0

If you have a F-112, you have no dots at all!

Jeez, talk about feeling inadequate.

The first 'dot' on my D50 was/is on the fifth fret; same on my D4-12; 3rd fret on the GAD30; and like Steve said, nothing at all on the F112-6. Dotless is....

Never gave this one a thought until now, so thanks, I think.

I wonder, if I contact customer service, would they send me a dot? National Resophonic sent me some screws one time but I hadn't considered if I'd been shorted on the dots before.

Tom, don't feel bad, I have diamond inlays on my D64! However, there is one on the third fret. yoko, can we count "non-dots"?

I only had one guitar without them on the third fret, I like them better when they are there.

Of my 8 Westerly-era dreads, only the D-55 and DV-73 have a third fret marker. The remainder (including the D-50) have dots beginning at the 5th.
