I think this is rather optimistic.......
Although a Dearmond by guild sf special recently went for about $700 usd on eBay, so who knows the fickle ways of auctions.

I guess it will always be a pick a number world, see if you can get it and caveat emptor.

A 90's DeArmond popped up today with the words "70's" and "Pre-CBS" in the title. It took being wrong to a whole new level!

I gotta admit I'm curious about Dearmond star fires; I hd an DA X-155 that I really liked (I sold it to finance my X-170, which I like even more). The PU's on the 155 were excellent, and I'm thinking' a Dearmond SF copy would be a pretty fun player for a fairly cheap price....

I sold a Squier By Fender Starfire (SFIV wannabe) to finance my recent SFIII purchase. It was a fine guitar for a budget model. It was a reluctant sale, but the Guild SFIII was well worth the sale. I see another Dearmond SF Special went for about $800 US on ebay. There seems to be a bit of a jump in prices on them, not that an auction is always reality. In this neck of the woods when the budget ones come up (rarely) they seem to be about half that or less.

Yeah, $800 is too high for a DA. Epiphone 335 types go for around $3-400, and are pretty well thought of. I wouldn't go much (if any) more than that on a DA
SF. 'Course, $400 is pretty far down the road towards a NS SF.
