Dropped coin on Newark Street Starfire...

...about 3 weeks ago so I could get pics and have first dibs at Sweetwater. Looking at all these Starfire pics here is driving me nuts!
Can't wait to get that shortie neck in my hands.
No ETA on the next shipment to Sweetwater, yet...
I once waited like 9 months for an SG bass to arrive at LGS.
I hope it's not gonna be a long wait for a Starfire...
When I get the pics...anything that I might look for that I should avoid in a Starfire?

The waiting is the hardest part. Congratulations

The "factory defects" I have seen reported are few. The backsides of the tuners sometimes appear to be not aligned to each other which bothers some people. There was a report that the stripe down the back of the neck was not straight and/or centered. One person reported a fret buzz on the E string that could not be adjusted away. But nothing that wouldn't be obvious if you were looking for it and it mattered to you.

And I betcha that the fretbuzz was a nut issue.
I played frono's briefly and I liked it a lot!

I can't find anything wrong with mine. Finish is perfect, everything lines up well, and sounds great.

Next shipment is slated for mid January.
The November shipment never made it, so looks like some waiting time.
Hopefully they were re-tooling to get straighter maple stripes...
