Starfires OK to fretboard oil the rosewood bridges?

Just wundrin'.
They look mighty dry in the pics I have seen. Mighty dry.
When mine arrives, I want to be sure I don't do something I shouldn't.

There is much debate on the subject of oils for your guitar. There is no concensus at all about whether or not you should do it. The only sort of concensus is that if you do you should use very small amounts and make sure the oil doesn't contain any silicone. That latter part applies to polishes as well. The issue with silicone is that it penetrates and makes it very difficult to apply any epoxy/glue down the road.

Personally, I use a couple of drops of bore oil (a product for woodwind instruments) on my finger and rub into my rosewood fingerboards and bridges. It's part of my string change ritual, if the wood looks dry.
