DeArmond 4 string Pilot

Somebody give me a crash course in DeArmond 4 string Pilot basses will ya? A friend of a friend has one he needs to sell for $125 with a gig bag. Is that a fair price? Are they good basses? How do they compare to the Guild Pilots?

Dunno on all counts. You can get Guild Pilots with a HSC for $500 and under with patience.
