the Grateful Dead posted this picture today on facebook. looks like Bobby has the SF 3 I have seen Jerry with. Can't tell if Jerry has "Bobby's" double cut SF(4?) or not, my guess is yes he does. looks like a heavy sesh!

I have seen shots of Jerry with a black Les Paul from around the era this shot was taken.

If he is playing a black Les Paul, it's probably one that he bought at Guitars Unlimited on California Avenue in Palo Alto. I know because I was thinking of buying it too, but at an asking price of $1,000, it was just too expensive.

Sorry, memory fade - to correct the story, it was Draper's Music, not Guitars Unlimited.
