I want one of each! :semi-twins:

I was not able to play the Starfire IV at LMG IV, but the X-175 was a great guitar! Very nice youtube comparison! Perhaps next they can compare the two with more of a clean tone, as that would be interesting to hear. Thanks for the post!

Here is another link for just the Newark Street Starfire IV. If anyone would like to translate the beginning please do. Go to 1:36 for the beginning of the playing.

And for the grand finale, a comparison of a 1953 Guild X-175 with a Newark Street X-175...

This will get its own thread.

Good comparison, but I agree with GM 63 in that 1) I want one of each, and 2) a clean tone would have been helpful. The SF sounded really good...

It sure does! My NS Starfire lV made an appearence at LMG and bluesypicky spanked it for a while. Everyone that plays it, likes it.

I'm very anxious to try a NS SF4. I really, really like my '96 SF4; I can't believe how different it is from my ES-335. (I really really like that, too).
Something tells me I'll really, really like the NS model...
