Well, reasonable compared to a Historic Series Les Paul maybe. But if I was spending that kind of money on an aristocrat, I think I'd look for an old one.

Fender's pretty much offering Dave's old rig, brand new these days. 8)

The brand new 57 Bandmaster reissue in Fender's lineup (behind him) is part based on an old one that FMIC's Mike Eldred got off him.

Fun topic Walter! Nice video here to watch, showing the whole FMIC gang and after minute 04:23 Mike Eldred mentions this:

There's some irony here in that picture! Those of us that attended the LMG factory events in 2010 and 2011 will expect to see a very different man by that name.

That's why I said "Dave Gonzalez of the Paladins" :D Initially when I started to learn about Guild I was also confused a lot since the younger one looked very similar to the older one somehow! But since the younger one is now responsible for Takamine he won't show up in NH anymore I guess.

I thought that was pretty funny too, that of all the names in the world, they put a "Dave Gonzalez" on Guild then.

Yesterday I was able to try the X-500 and M-75 at Musikmesse in Frankfurt and they are truly awesome. They really do honour the Guild badge. The New Hatford guys really are outstanding luthiers, if there wasn't the price a M-75 would be mine already...

That's great to hear as my X-500 is, or will soon be under construction...can't wait!

Krysh,

Have you ever played a 50's X-500 Stuart? If so, how do the two guitars compare regarding tone and playability?

I think it's worth to add the link to that new Guild Custom Shop video here as well:
