Was watching "900 Nights" last night, great documentary about the founding and "pre big-time months" of Big Brother and the Holding Co. and realized James Gurley's playing what I'm pretty sure must be an S50:

That's about the 3rd time I've watched that documenatary and never noticed before, probably because I'm always looking for the traditional peaked headstock with rooftop logo.
Just happened to notice that tell-tale concave lower bout last night.
Always loved Gurley's lead style. Always loved "Cheap Thrills" more for the playing on "Oh Sweet Mary" and "Summertime" than for Janis' singing, although he may have been playing an SG by then, since that's what he had at Monterey Pop.
In a slightly different direction, but another possible case of a missed id due to headstock shape, I think there may also be a sighting of Andy Summers playing one of the early '80's "Detonator" styles with the "cakeknife headstock" in Stewart Copeland's video diary of the Police's first tour, "Everyone Stares". Never could get a good look at the one fleeting concert scene that showed it though.
A quick google search leads to me to a website that says he has (or had) a JF30-12 for sure:

And then a trip to his Website shows he has 2 Guild flatback 12's.
Anyway neither of those 2 shows up on Wiki's "users of Guilds" listing, and I don't think they're on our listing either, but I didn't check.
And that's all the news that fits.
Good morning, Gents! :D
