1965 Guild Starfire Bass with Bisonics - Soundfiles

hi gang,
since I didn't find anything useful in the web I did some sound examples of my modded 1965-Guild Starfire 1 Bass with 2 Hagstrom Bisonics.
played through a 3m vovox-cable directly into a SWR Bass 350 II Redhead into a 1x12" SAD Custom Cabinet with a 350W Fostex and Tweeter. recorded with an Audio Technica AT 4050 and Oktava Mk 319 into motu ultralite Mk1 into ableton live. Drumloop with Addictive drums.
no eq, no compressor, no editing.

fingerposition as follows:
always 2 runs ,
1. directly at neck
2. at Neck PU
3. between PUps
4. at Bridge Pickup
5. with pick

here are files for neck and bridge PU only, both and my momentary favourite mix. each seperate with vol all up but one tone 0 and oone tone 10, enloy, and each for either microphone, setup was this:

Great stuff as usual Michael. I love my Starfire Bass, and one of these days I'll figure out how to record it. :roll:

What strings you use?

in this recordings I used some older r.cocco nickel rounds 0.040-0.100

and now one of my favourite sounds of my starfire with dean markley 0.040-0.100 blue steels:

Bridge Bisonic: vol10, tone 0, played through a 1960's telefunken V672 preamp, splitted into 1 direct and 2 through a presonus bluemax compressor with light compression (ratio around 2), into a motu ultralite interface and recorded with ableton live, no eq
