Don’t think I’ve seen this shot of Paul Weller with an F-512 (?) before.

Is this Simon & Garfunkel, or Tom & Jerry?

I'm gonna say Simon and Garfunkel:

Also that 12 string can't be earlier than '64.
In fact I just realized there's sumthin' funny goin' on with its bridge, too.
It's F30 style.
I submit for you consideration what I'd expect to see on a first-year F212 or 312:

My guess is that one may be one of the first ones built?
It's way too early for an F-112, and that white TRC's another "tell" for dating.
(EDIT: Ah, I see Hans got in there while I was still looking for pics!)

OK because of that unusual bridge, I started wondering if that might actually be a very early F30 with a 12-string neck, it'd be exactly the same period as that one-off D40-12 string sighted here in a TV clip a while back.
But I think in another photo from the same session it appears to be large enough to be an F40 style body:

Hans?

From Paul’s hair, I’m going to venture a guess that this was around the time of Bookends.

I'm thinking more like first album:

Something about the tie in the b&w photos doesn't fit '68, to me, but he's got the same "image" on that album cover (released in '64).
Add that first-year F212 detail, and there you are.

Was watching a YouTubeo of Joe Strummer from ‘99 when I spied the bass player playing an M-85. Scott Shields of The Mescaleros.
