Woke up early, flipped through the channels and caught the end of Dylan's 30th anniversary concert and My Back Pages. When Tom Petty stepped up for his bit, what did I spy strapped to him? Looks like a D25-12. Not a great pic from that concert on Google images search, but did find this one from one of his concerts.

It's been a while since we had a new post 'round here, so here's my contribution:

Dan Zanes was a member of the band Del Fuegos back in the 1980's. Now he is known for his albums of children's music and his family friendly concerts featuring sing-alongs.

It looks to me like he is playing a sweet, little cherry sunburst F-20 here.

Hello sailingshoes,

That's an F-30 Sb., but I do agree that some people make guitars look smaller than they really are.

Sincerely,

Thanks Hans. I was kinda going back and forth on that. But the narrow-looking pickguard made me think it was a F-20.

Oh good Lord, please tell me that isn't a Kahler vibrato hacked into the front of that sunburst baby :hopelessness:
Ward Hayden indeed has this modified 1965 or 1966 (16th fret neck to body joint) Starfire IV. The mini humbuckers were replaced by Gibson style regular humbuckers and that Kahler (?) tailpiece. Also the tuners were replaced with Grovers. He played that guitar already in July 2014.

OK...standby for VERE!

Given our esteemed brother's offerings above, I had to add this...and no, there is no Guild content :chargrined:

The only time I ever watched Laurence Welk was while visiting grandparents at age of maybe 10, and having to sit there in silence with our hands on our laps while "behaving". Without regard of ever thinking about any tokes...
