Overall Assessment: Outstanding guitar both in looks and sound. Plays great!

Most Appreciated Characteristic: Ebony fingerboard.
Least Appreciated: A little too deep to be really comfortable.

Interesting, my 96 D25 with heelblock date of 10/31/96 did the same thing., about a couple of years in, which coincidentally was right about 225-250 hours of playing time, except I noticed it as a
"big moment" all on a warm Saturday morning outdoors.
I'm thinking they had some really good spruce around '96-'97 at least.
