I can't match those cool cars, but here's a photo of my first:

There's that "Seafoam Green" again.

LOVE those '50s colors! The coral was really cool, too

I've seen that car in person (and sat in it too. ) it really is a beauty up close. its all original except the engine block and 1 rod, and I believe its been repainted (although the paint is enamel) .

I guess from back in the days before drug-testing? No wasted sheet metal there ...

Cid and I owned, albeit far too briefly, a '69 Camaro RS Z28 similar to this one pictured.

Unfortunately it spent much of it's time and much of our dollars in the resto garage. Then along came children. Certainly an easy decision to sell and my neighbor was all to eager to take it off of my hands.

Would have been fun though.

Now as we're getting older, we would love to own something like a '66 Malibu, '55 Nomad, or a '55 - '57 Belair to just cruise around and travel in.

Yeah, back before they figured out they needed to incline the kingpins you needed LOTS of leverage to turn.
Back then endurance racing was as much about the driver's endurance as the car's.
