How long have you owned the A-25: 1 year, 3 months.
Year & specific model: 1996 A25 NTHR
Purchased new or used: Used
Price paid: £645/$1040

Owners rate 1 (least appreciated) to 10 (most appreciated) in following categories with comments as desired:

Build quality: 10
Looks 9 (Couple of dings from my recklessness)
Projection 10
Bass 10
Mids 10
Highs 10
Sustain 10
Playability/comfort 10
Dependability 10
Fingerstyle 10 (My preferred style for this guitar, as she really sings when fingerpicked)
Flatpick 10 (Fantastic country tone with new strings- when strings are kept clean, she has a resonance all of her own.)
Strum 10

Condition (Mint/Excellent/Good/Fair/Poor): Good

Favorite Strings (one selection only): Martin Custom Lights (0.11-0.52)

Would you buy another if lost/sold: In a heartbeat.

Overall Assessment: A gorgeous guitar, perfect for the fingerpicker who wants a more high-end model.

Most Appreciated Characteristic: The warmth of tone engendered by the spruce top.
Least Appreciated: The rattle on the A string that I’ve learned to live with.
Favorite A-25 Story/Moment: The evening she came home, I sat and learned a variety of songs with her, finding that ‘The Weight’ sounded beautiful, where it hadn’t really worked on any other guitar.

Would you buy another if lost/sold: If I could find one

Overall Assessment: All in all, I got a great deal on this guitar. I already owned another Guild dreadnaught (D4 1993) and while my wife plays it primarily, I liked it (also purchased for $300). But I found the neck on the A25 to be far more preferable to my hand size. She just jumped out at me. Stamp date Nov 20, 1995

Most Appreciated Characteristic: Neck width
Least Appreciated: nothing
Favorite A-25 Story/Moment: Every time I have someone else play it, they wonder how I got such a great American guitar for such a dynamite price ;)
