Favorite F-412 Story/Moment: I play my F-412 at Open Mics fairly often and it always draws a crowd of folks wanting to know about it.

Other observations/comments: The folks at Tacoma REALLY got this one right. I sold my beloved 1970 Martin D-12-20 to buy this guitar because, as good as the Martin was, this one sounded even better. Just a STELLAR instrument!

Re: F412 LTG Owner Review

How long have you owned the F-412: 13 years
Year & specific model: 1971 F-412Blonde
Purchased new or used: Very Used
Price paid: $900 (1997)

Owners rate 1 (least appreciated) to 10 (most appreciated) in following categories with comments as desired:

Build quality 10
Looks 8 (been through a few battles)
Projection 10
Bass 8
Mids 10
Highs 10
Sustain 10
Playability/comfort 8 (its a BIG guitar to play sitting down)
Dependability 10
Fingerstyle 10
Flatpick 10
Strum 10

Condition (Mint/Excellent/Good/Fair/Poor): Good previous owner playing it hard. It has lots of "relic-ing" nicks, finish checks, pick marks, nick in neck finish, etc.

Favorite Strings (one selection only): Elixers

Would you buy another if lost/sold: If I could find one with the same mojo (fat chance of that)

Overall Assessment: loudest acoustic guitar I've ever played. It has a mini-mic pickup that came with it and I don't care much for it. I sounds good, but is prone to feedback.

Most Appreciated Characteristic: Very cool vibe, great action.
Least Appreciated: It feeds back easily when plugged in.
