Hey, I can do that too!

How long have you owned the F-47: about a year?
Year & specific model: I think it's a 2010. It's the F-47R
Purchased new or used: new

Owners rate 1 (least appreciated) to 10 (most appreciated) in following categories with comments as desired:

Build quality 9
Looks 9.5
Projection 7 and getting better already.
Bass 8
Mids 7
Highs 9
Sustain 9
Playability/comfort 8
Dependability so far so good
Fingerstyle 7
Flatpick 8
Strum 10

Condition (Mint/Excellent/Good/Fair/Poor): near mint

Favorite Strings (one selection only): Dunlop PB 12's.

Would you buy another if lost/sold: If I could afford it.

Overall Assessment: seriously nice guitar. And I get to play some nice ones, I work part-time at a guitar store with a good acoustic section.

Most Appreciated Characteristic: (light) weight, liveliness, balance, punch, feeling of being spoilt by something that oozes quality. Looks - It's a strikingly good looking guitar. I love the very 50's looking body silhouette, and the retro pickguard and tuners. (work as great as they look btw, I put the same set of Gotoh's with round buttons on my vintage Capri)

Least Appreciated: still fighting the long scale a little bit. Red spruce top will take some time to "get there".

Favorite F-47 Story/Moment: so far, receiving it and opening the case after a long wait after ordering it.

Other observations/comments: The deluxe case is a nice case, but it sure is kitschy. It wouldn't look out of place in a 70's blaxploitation movie, you could easily wear a pink velvet suit and hat with an ostrich feather with it.

Walter, I have a 2009 F47M that I bought earlier this year, and I recently noticed something interesting. Its volume and projection were average when I first got it, but recently has become noticeably louder. Does this make sense, or am I just imagining things? I don't play much unplugged acoustic, so my ears are used to volume :listening_headphone
