Hi, does anyone know how to date a Guild DeArmond Starfire Special? The serial number is: 8092652

The first digit might be the year - 1998. And the letter prefix would denote which overseas production site it came from.

Thanks...I know I kept my receipt when I bought it but now I cannot find it. Since it's a guild in name only it is hard to find much technical info on the guitar other than what kind of hardware is on it, etc.

8092652 = September 1998, the 2,652 guitar made.

Your S/N probably also had a KC prefix which stood for Korea, Cor-Tek.
