The trio that I play in, Where's Mary, will be performing again this year at the
11th Annual Celebration of the Arts in Yorba Linda, CA.
Sunday June 6, 11a.m. to 5p.m.
Yorba Linda Community Center, Hurless Barton Park, and the Lasorda Field House
Casa Loma Ave. between Yorba Linda Blvd. and Imperial Highway
This event is one of the largest arts & music festivals in north Orange County, presented by the Yorba Linda Arts Alliance, in cooperation with the City of Yorba Linda, and sponsored by the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Foundation.
With over 100 booths, all of the arts are represented: visual, musical, theatrical, and cultural, with many exhibits, demonstrations, activities, displays & sales. Included are oil and watercolor paintings, drawing, mixed media work, photography, glass, fiber art, sculpture, ceramics & jewelry, all designed & made by the artists.
Entertainment spotlights jazz bands, classical music, big band, vocal & theatrical ensembles, and local dance studios showcases. Enjoy the sounds of Acoustic Conversation, Where's Mary, Beach Cities Big Band, the Ron Kobayashi Trio, The Alley Cats, the Southern California Philharmonic and When Pigs Fly, just to name a few. Over 30 performing groups are featured throughout the day on seven stages.
Many of this years participating artists and exhibitors have an interactive element, in both the indoor & outdoor locations. Children's art activities abound throughout the event, including puppet shows, make & take art, and mini drawing classes.
Food is available for purchase, including hamburgers, teriyaki chicken bowls, tacos, pasta bar, meatball sandwiches, kettle corn, funnel cakes, nachos, and more!
Parking & admission is free.
