There's been some discussion over at the Gretsch Discussion Page, where Deed Eddy sometimes posts.

I think it looks like a nice guitar, despite the hyperbole. $8K seems spendy though.

I have never heard of the Alarm nor would I spend extra for a guitar just because it was owned by anyone! Nice looking guitar though.
