I hardly ever get to go fishing anymore but found a little time this weekend.
After awhile I ran out of worms but I saw a cottonmouth with a frog in its mouth.
Frogs are good bass bait.
I knew the snake couldn't bite me with a frog in its mouth, so I grabbed it right behind the head, took out the frog and dropped it in my bait bucket.
NOW the problem was how to release the snake without getting bit?
I grabbed my bottle of Jack Daniels and poured a little in its mouth.
His eyes rolled back, he went limp, and I gave him a little toss back out into the lake.
I went on fishing using the frog.
A little while later, I felt a nudge on my foot.
