Didn't he re-neck a few before actually building solidbodies? Didn't PA make a few steels too?

Hello, Mrs Coastie here.

Gary was stricken by a mysterious melody, immediately after viewing this video. He has been put to bed under doctor's orders.

The spasming is pitiful to watch; the raving unintelligible. I thought I heard him deliriously scream, "Thus quoth the raving, "Nevermore", but it's hard to be certain.

The doctor prescribed this, but so far it's not been very f-ignacious !! ............... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8Gu-rBKXPc

I want him more like this ............ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZwQQ1UnTAs pronto, or your arse is gonna be sued !! And, probably the rest of you as well !

Doris.

Hank Thompson's guitar was a Gibson J_200 with a Bigsby neck on it.

Darryl, get the Bigsby book, it's fantastic. Bigsby made his own solidbody/semihollowbody guitars, a bunch of steels, a couple of mandolins, and he re-necked quite a few acoustics for country players. He eventually quit building guitars, and focused on his vibrato tailpieces, and ended up selling his whole business to Ted McCarthy when McCarthy retired from Gibson.

Oh..and for Coastie : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFyINLHoAQA

Thanks Walter. I lasted right to the end of that. Not unpleasant.

I'm going to take double my medication tonight and re-watch it. I thought I saw a hippie sperm encountering a diaphragm, a couple of times in there !
