Or her Dad! Take a minute or two to listen to what he did to Tutti Frutti when Little Richard did it the way it was meant to be done! Joe
Yes, and there's an overnight syndicated radio host who has at time promoted him for induction into the R&R Hall of Fame! He should stick to UFOs and Remote Viewing...

Another one that makes my head explode is "Swingin' by John Anderson.

Or anything else by John Anderson for that matter.

How about "Kokomo" by the otherwise good Beach Boys?

Coastie...Dude, you no like the Bruce? "Thunder Road?" "Rosalita?" Well, dress me in daffodils and call me Pansy.

My two nominations are by artists already mentioned. Indeed, "I am Woman" and "Mandy" are puke-worthy.

But the two worst hits, IMO, would be "Delta Dawn" by Reddy from her country crossover comeback and "Copacabana" by the great BM.

Submitted for your approval, Dread.

Certainly not the worst ever, but mighty high on my hate-list .............

Bruce Springsteen bawling "Born in the USA".

And anything else by Springsteen !
Thanks for being the first person in the history of the universe to admit this, so now I can come clean. He almost ruined the Roy Orbison Black & White Night concert DVD!

ugh, I've got to agree on Springsteen, but can't argue with success.

A couple of songs I can't listen to are 'Ballroom Blitz' and 'Pour Some Sugar On Me'.

Definitely two of the cheesiest songs of the era, for sure. That's two Helen Reddy songs now...

another song I never, ever want to hear again is Tom Jones' "She's A Lady"...

I'm with you there, Coastie!
Yelling doesn't fit into my definition of music, and despite his obvious success, I never could understand the appeal. Is it the tough guy/rebel/surly/non-conformist image or what is it exactly? Someone enlighten me, please.

And who dubbed him "the Boss" anyway? The boss of what?

Joe

Chuck Barris' Gong Show mocked that song to no avail for a guaranteed booing/gonging session.

An easy to remember/sing along refrain with "USA" in it, tends to get popular relatively easily among the masses....... Which of course, makes him the boss.
