Since I'm at work the first one I thought of that I hear on Muzak here everyday - Afternoon Delight. Awful.

One name, many crimes against music: Barry Manilow.
Pop, pop. Fizz, fizz. The sounds of Mandy being shot in a driveby at the Copa.

There are so many, many choices for this award. Content, hype, annoying melodies, *no* melodies, rap in almost its entirety ;)...

Hollaback girl cracked me up. Good suggestion, stclrob. How about the Macarena? :)

I'm going to have to think about this. There are, really, a few songs that I simply have an allergic reaction to. And, no, they're not all from the disco era. ;)

I dunno, guys, "I am woman, hear me roar" is still in the bottom of the barrel for me. You're going to have to come up with something pretty dreadful to top it :D

Or her Dad!
Take a minute or two to listen to what he did to Tutti Frutti when Little Richard did it the way it was meant to be done!

"Me and You and a Dog Named Boo" always touched a nerve with me.

Same with anything by Bobby Sherman.

You know, while we're at it, we really should broaden our musical horizons just for the sake of this discussion and throw in that all-time classic....D-I-V-O-R-C-E!

Now that's a real tear jerker if ever there was one!

Ok, I admit, I don't recognize that one...was it the follow up to "Butterfly of Love" and "You're Having my Baby"? :?

I love that song and the "D-I-V-O-R-C-E" album is one of my all time favorites. It is also in my opinion, one of the greatest country records of all time.

I used to hate "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None the Richer until my (then) three year old told me it was her favorite song.
