Well, okay. A Portuguese guitar it is. But I took a close look and at least it's a Guild Portuguese guitar.

It could've been worse. It might have been a banjo. :?

Sending this to my Air Force (Retired) brother-in-law. When you hear the howling you'll know who it is.

There are Portuguese instruments used as mandolins.

As we try to decide exactly what the instrument is, we're overlooking the fact that this is one very talented squirrel!!
I tried teaching one a few chords a while back and he just didn't get it.

I had to let him go!

Sorry Grot but that isn’t a mandolin…check the peg head…it’s a Portuguese Guitar.

Doesn't everyone recognize a Portugese peg head - essential for Fado
Exactly Jerry! I’m beginning to suspect that there are some here that wouldn’t know the difference between a Coimbra and Lisbon (or Lisboa) style Portuguese Guitar. :?

Joe you were using the wrong guitar! Next time try using an S-100 with the acorn carvings. Squirrels tend to like those.

I see, so it's more about the equipment. I had thought about trying a different instrument but I decided to let him go anyway because the squirrel was driving me....NUTS!
