Re: Headstock!!!

That's just not fair to subject us to that unadulterated beauty on a Saturday morning, and then I have to look at my own headstocks. Could this be a case of headstock envy?

But seriously, thanks for that brush with beauty,
Joe

Yes, those are Grover Imperial tuners. I like the gold, the DV72 and DV73 have the silver. The gold look fabulous on the maple with black trim.

Really nice, Treem. Good job.

Improved tone, too? It must have sounded really good to start with.

Nah, they're Supers. The Imperials have the same knobs, but a different housing and a 16:1 ratio. These Supers have the standard Grover-type housing and a 14:1 ratio.

Although, I suppose its possible that they used to be called Imperials???

I love those tuners. I love the Maple neck too.

1989 Gruhn/Walker D60 headstock. Note the more slender width.
(*This headstock, BTW, had been cracked at one time. The repair work was superb.
You have to look hard to even see it.)

1997 Sunburst F65ce headstock - slender like the 1989 D60.

The headstock of my 2001 Sapphire Blue F65ce is also slender.

I prefer the slender head stocks to the broad ones. But I don't think they make them like that anymore.
