Right, but "strange" isn't Tom's favorite color. (At least I don't think it is)
No, Al.... you're right. Strange may be my middle name, but my favorite color is still BLUE! And I still don't have a blue guitar.... YET!!!

One day it will be MINE!!

...Did they really write the best easy-listening pop in the '60's or are we just jaded by having been there?:
Totally "jaded"!

..."Mercy Mercy Mercy" The Buckinghams--with bonus points for the first person who can id the author and why we should care.
Johnny "Guitar" Watson, Larry Williams, and Joe Zawinul co-wrote that song. Al, just tell us, was a Guild involved?

...This has been another presentation of Al's Nostalgia Network.

That's the first time I've ever heard of Watson and Williams being involved in writing that tune.
I think I feel a tugging on my chain.
"NO BROWNIES FOR YOU!!"
Now, anybody remember who Joe Zawinul was?

I'll keep my hand down. ;~}

When you're done with your coughing fit I'll relent and let you have a brownie.
For the rest of the class, the illustrious Mr. Zawinul rewarded us with far more than a top-ten surprise '60's jazz cross-over hit and became one of those giants upon whose shoulders others stood, after having done the same himself..
and yes there is a Guild connection buried in there somewhere deep if one plays "6 degrees of Jaco Pastorius"...

I always accept brownies, but Bacharach sure wrote some classic '60's pop!

Just acquired the above yesterday, via a local craigslist ad. Got it for cheap. Seems in really good shape.... I'd like to find out more about it....

I don't know much about your blue bomber, but I do know that my '03 burst JF30-12 (also got cheap, really good shape) is one FANTASTIC guitar!
