Hi All ,
Love this topic ... My band uses monitors , in fact , I won't sing without them , but then I have no confidence in my singing ability even though people tell me that I'm really very good ... I always just assume they've had more than their share of drink , L O L ... We could'nt figure out why things just did'nt sound right when we first started playing with our drummer ... Turns out he thought we were playing a different song than we were because he could'nt hear what we were doing , L O L ... We set him up with a monitor of his own and problem solved ...
As far as using a vocal coach goes , I've always been afraid that he or she would hear me sing and say something like " good heavens , who on earth told you that you should be singing in the first place ?? " L O L ....
