Hello I am new here and just got my hands on a Guild S60 from a friend who passed away. I am now learning how to play it and wondered if anybody could help me out with some information on this guitar. The numbers say it was made in 79. It has a single Humbucker pickup and a Kahler Tremolo. I cant find much info on the Guild Electrics guitars or any thing that looks like the one I have. Thanks Guys

Hello Frank,

Welcome,

The Guild S-60 was the single pickup ( and slightly less fancy) version of the S-300.
The model was introduced during 1977 and stayed in the line till 1980 when it was replaced by the S-65D. The Kahler tremolo is probably not original on that guitar since Kahlers were introduced during the '80s. Anyway, you have a good basic guitar there, that should give you a lot of playing pleasure. If you have any further questions, just get back here!

Post a photo if you can!

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

When you figure out how to play the S-60, can you let me know how too?

I can't figure out which end you're supposed to blow into...

That would be an aircoustic guitar.
