Here's how much I enjoyed turning sixty (I won't specify the date). Without eating or drinking anything the night before that could have made me sick, I nonetheless woke up nauseated on my 60th birthday and flashed my hash.

Many happy returns, Darryl!

I turned 60 about a month ago, on a Sunday. My wife & I had been out of town (on non- birthday-related business). We arrived home at 10 pm, totally road-weary. My celebratory dinner was a barbeque chicken from the supermarket and the heel of a baguette, washed down with a fine glass of tap water.

At least it all stayed down!
