12 string pedal steel

12 string steels are unusual but not rare. I haven't seen one tuned in pairs, but you can tune them a lot of ways.

Notice all the foot pedals and knee levers. You have to push pedals and move your knees left and right. You have to be a gymnast and computer to play one.

Oh yes, I've noticed the hardware on Pedal Steels, I think I could probably drive one. Not much point, the kicker for me being my musical "ear". I'm relatively positive, without some musical giftedness, doesn't make much sense to tackle Steel Guitar.

Smitty steppped on my tail during Monday's lesson, insisted I pay attention get it right on a couple full & half step bends. Good luck Smitty.

I dunno, steel might have possibilities, arethe bends dialed in with mechanical stops?

They have mechanical stops, but some guys set them up so that you can stop your foot or knee half way. So if it's set to go from A to B, you can stop it at A#.
