Personally I think it's a very kewl guitar and something I might like to play with in the future.

I think that any guitarist can benefit from playing bass. It provides a different perspective on playing and on interacting with other musicians. At song circles or informal jams I often find myself playing bass rather than guitar. I have a small 15 watt Crate bass amp, plenty of power to keep up with acoustic guitars, mandolins, banjos, fiddles etc (plus it’s small enough to fit on the rear carrier of my bicycle) :)

The P-J pickup configuration of the Guild is very versatile. I like the P-bass sound myself, but it’s nice to be able to add a bit of bridge-pickup growl to the mix.

cheers
