You North Americans wouldn't know pig-poo from forked lightning !

That's a Broccolewe, common in the hill country of our South Island.

They taste bloody awful though; ya gotta have a nice cheese sauce with them.

No Graham, not an albino. Remember that, the South Island high-country is, for the most part, a snow-covered landscape.

The Broccolewe has evolved this way, in order to be virtually un-spotable in the snow and thus, be relatively safe from its main predator, the Great Alpine Oohmaknacker.

And yes, a blewe-cheese sauce would be most salewebrious !
